The Mundeshwari Devi Temple, dedicated to Maa Durga and Lord Shiva, is located in the Kaimur District of Bihar, approximately a two-and-a-half-hour drive from Varanasi. It is considered the oldest Hindu temple in North India and holds the distinction of being the oldest continuously functioning Hindu temple in the world, with origins dating back to around 108 AD.
